In these divisive political times it’s easy to get wrapped up in headlines and become distracted from attending to the immediate needs of people around us. If we truly care about the well-being of our country, it’s important that we actively demonstrate compassion to keep community members in need from getting lost in the partisan divide.
At MELT’s next meeting we will discuss members’ ideas for activities to participate in over the next few months that would help our communities thrive. These activities could be done as a group or individually. They could possibly involve providing something tangible that someone needs through donating garden produce to the local food shelf; or maybe time could be spent offering emotional support to people who feel marginalized. Bring any ideas you have for demonstrating compassion in your community. Every idea involving compassion is a good one. Hopefully we will motivate and inspire each other to actively help make this country become the best experience it can be for our neighbors.
You are invited to join us for our next meeting on:
