Attend A Minnesota Senate Hearing Today 1pm

There is a hearing on preemption in the MN Senate this Monday at 1pm. Our Senator - Rich Draheim- is on that committee. You remember that the issue here is that there is a proposal described as "Employment mandates on private employers uniformity provided" - House File 600 - which will say that local governments such as cities and counties cannot make employment regulations that are different from the state law. This would mean that the paid family leave and sick day law that was recently passed in Minneapolis and St. Paul would not take affect and that cities could not pass a higher minimum wage than the state minimum wage.
